Join our team at the Kongsberg Missile Facility (KMF) in Newcastle, a state-of-the-art manufacturing and integration site purpose-built to deliver cutting-edge missile systems to the Australian Defence Force. This facility represents a significant milestone in Australia's sovereign defence capability and offers the chance to work on projects that have national impact.

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage  payment invoices and contribute to the smooth running of financial operations within a dynamic and collaborative team. 

About the role:

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will:

  • Check and process invoices with precision and efficiency.
  • Accurately code invoices to the correct cost centers.
  • Match invoices with approved purchase orders and ensure compliance with financial delegations.
  • Coordinate payment approvals and respond to invoice and payment queries.
  • Support month-end processes and assist with accounts payable ad-hoc reporting.

What you'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Understanding of accounting and accounts payable principles.
  • Accurate data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 products suite.

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
