THE ROLE & WHY JOIN US
We are seeking a full-time permanent Senior Developer Programmer to join us at Joval. This role offers you:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
As our Senior Developer Programmer, your key responsibilities will be to design and develop best-in-class software solutions to provide effective and responsive applications across domains including cloud, data, core applications, integration and digital. You will support business growth through adoption of leading-edge technologies and practices and proactively maintain team coherence for efficient project delivery.
Key tasks in your new role:
- Lead the end-to-end software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Participate in system design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure scalability and performance optimisation
- Work with internal stakeholders and digital team to devise best practice digital solutions
- Consult with external stakeholders, technical third-party vendors regarding website solutions
- Work with back-end developers, producers, UX and visuals designers in a collaborative way to scope, estimate and plan project delivery
- Translate user and business needs into functional code, providing solution architecture capability to the development team
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and maintain effectiveness of solutions across all digital platforms
- Research and advise on new best practice digital principles and technologies, industry trends and implementation technologies to stay at leading edge of industry
- Serve as an expert on technical matters concerning web, mobile, and other software applications
- Create and maintain technical documentation (including stakeholder training material) and reusable code libraries
THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE
With experience in Power Bi, Azure DevOps and developing website platforms, you'll be a candidate we want to talk to You'll possess the following attributes and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Power Platform Development certification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in design, development, coding & delivery of IT projects
- Minimum of 3 years' experience developing website platforms including B2B and B2C ecommerce
- Minimum 5 years' experience in designing and developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions
- Experience in agile delivery methods and Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of distribution and logistics environments and solutions to optimise their operations
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation skills
- Expert level design and development skills in the full suite of Power Platform solutions.
- Design and development of Power BI dashboards
- Design and development of business process automations
- Expert level skills in SQL Server and Azure Services
- Expert level skills in Microsoft Sharepoint and ecommerce solutions
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively and meet demanding deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and initiative to get tasks started
We offer excellent working conditions including on-site parking, free barista coffee, hybrid work and monthly morning teas. For this 38-hour week role, based in our office in Abbotsford, we will pay a base salary of $110,000 + super.
