About The Team

, you'll get to work on challenging problems that require deep strategic thinking to deliver for our customers and make magic in the Uber marketplace. Your work will impact customers here and globally. It could involve building a strategy for targeting high value customers, building a more sustainable future for mobility, to discovering the best way to increase rider engagement through our membership program. This isn't about cutting and pasting from a playbook, it's about writing the playbook.

About The Role
The Core Rider strategy & operations team is a key pillar of our rider experience, engagement, and retention strategy. You'll understand, manage, and optimise all elements within the rider toolkit, matching the right levers to the right customers and use cases.

This role is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful step changes in rider growth and retention for a platform that helps Aussies and Kiwis move around better. We're looking for a sharp, data-driven operator to drive rider engagement, retention, and loyalty across Uber's consumer ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Shape and execute a best-in-class rider engagement strategy grounded in insights and experimentation.
  • Translate data into action; identify key levers to drive retention, engagement, and multi-product usage.
  • Structure and solve complex, ambiguous problems using data-led analysis and clear storytelling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to test and scale engagement initiatives.
  • Build models, frameworks, and executive-ready materials to influence leadership and guide strategic decisions.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or an analytical role; start-up experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL or other data tools advantageous.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to craft and present data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of consumer growth and engagement, with a track record of driving measurable outcomes.
