Bunmabunmarra Service is an Aboriginal-led organisation grounded in culture, healing, and community.
We walk alongside men, women, and families across Central West NSW who are experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, Domestic and family violence, and social disadvantage.
Gibir House provides culturally safe, short-term accommodation and wrap-around support for men who are experiencing homelessness, exiting custody, leaving rehabilitation, have complex health needs and a more. We focus on healing, accountability, and transition — helping our men rebuild independence and connection.
The RoleAs a Case Manager, you'll deliver high-quality, culturally informed case management to residents of Gibir House.
You'll assess needs, develop case plans, provide one-to-one and group support, and coordinate housing, health, and justice pathways.
This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about working with men and making a real difference through practical, strengths-based support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive case management, risk assessment, and safety planning.
- Support residents to build life skills, manage housing, and engage in healing and wellbeing programs. Model cultural integrity, respect, and accountability in all interactions.
- Work collaboratively with agencies including Homes NSW, Corrective Services, DCJ, Legal Aid, and health partners.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation in line with policy and audit standards.
- Working in shared accommodation, check in, check out, and associated requirements. Model cultural integrity, respect, and accountability in all interactions.
You'll bring:
- Diploma or Degree in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or similar.
- 3+ years' experience in case management within homelessness, justice, AOD, or DFV contexts.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and a commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and crisis response skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
You'll also need:
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
