VMG Connect is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our customer base. You will be the face of the company in Australia and will have the dedication to contribute to and implement an effective sales strategy.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through sales acquisition and forging strong relationships with our partners and clients.

Our preferred location is Sydney, but we are open to considering applicants in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy a business development strategy focused on customer acquisition
  • Build a pipeline of strong B2B leads
  • Arrange business development meetings with prospective clients
  • Maintain a positive market presence to support the growth and penetration of the Workvivo by Zoom and VMG Connect brands in the region
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Foster and enhance our relationship and reputation with the Workvivo and Zoom teams in region
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Seek new opportunities for revenue within the Employee Experience space
  • Meet agreed targets
  • Promote the company's products/services, addressing or predicting clients' objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts, ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Contribute to our fantastic VMG company culture

Requirements and skills

  • 5 years+ proven working experience as a business development manager in SaaS companies
  • Proven sales track record. A self-motivator, go-getter with the discipline to work remotely if required
  • Ability to build rapport. Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and CRM software (e.g. HubSpot)
  • Excellent English communication skills – written/verbal and negotiation skills
  • Market knowledge and business networks a plus
  • Willing to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required
  • Time management and planning skills
