Senior Advisor Boards and Committees

NSW Government organisation - hybrid Sydney CBD + WFH. ASAP start - assignment until 31/12/2025. $650 - $750 per day + super. 7 hours per day.

Key accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of Secretariat functions for boards and committees to ensure effective governance of terms of reference, connectivity and processes across the various bodies within the organisation to enable strategic management and alignment.
  • Facilitate secretariat interactions between boards, committees and the Department, including organisation and management of meetings, papers, reports, submissions, briefings, correspondence and minutes.
  • Coordinate the submission, review and approval of materials across the organisation to support decision making by the Department, boards and committees and ensure consistent, high standards are applied.
  • Undertake research, analysis and synthesis of information to support the boards, committees and decision making.
  • Coordinate and undertake projects to support governance functions including its Boards and Committees.

Selection criteria:

  • Proven experience in a similar role supporting boards and committees
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment with competing priorities and strict time demands
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical, reasoning and interpersonal skills
  • Previous NSW Government experience highly beneficial
