We are seeking a professional Casual Maritime Security Officer to join our team at Cement Australia located in Gladstone. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-profile maritime environment, ensuring the safety and security of the facility and all personnel on site. The role involves maintaining strong situational awareness, responding to security incidents and supporting compliance with maritime security regulations and company procedures.

This position offers a Level 1 pay rate of $34.25 per hour (including casual loading) plus a $2.03 port allowance and applicable shift penalties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Control access for personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the site.
  • Conduct foot patrols to ensure site safety.
  • Screen staff members arriving or departing the site, including ID verification.
  • Maintain the security of restricted zones.
  • Record all vehicle movements, personnel entries, and incidents in site logs.

Requirements:

  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
  • Valid Queensland Security Licence.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Reliable means of transport.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
