Practice Manager

Kare Radiology is seeking an experienced Full-Time Practice Manager to join our dynamic and patient-focused team. We are an independent clinic committed to delivering high-quality, affordable diagnostic imaging services to the local community.

About the Role:

You will be the first point of contact for our patients and referring practitioners, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in person and by phone
  • Scheduling appointments across multiple modalities (CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, BMD)
  • Processing Medicare and private billing claims — experience with Medicare item numbers and billing codes is essential
  • Handling EFTPOS and cash payments
  • Managing incoming referrals and ensuring accurate patient records
  • Liaising with referring doctors and specialists
  • General administrative and reception duties

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical imaging, radiology, or specialist medical practice is essential
  • Strong understanding of Medicare billing, item numbers, and processing workflows
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with practice management software (experience with radiology-specific RIS/PACS systems an advantage)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a close-knit team
