About the role

  • Managing accounts payable, including liasing with suppliers regarding payments, scheduling and processing regular payment runs
  • Handlingfortnightly payroll, including timesheet management and statutory reporting (e.g. Super, STP, PAYG)
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
  • Performing monthly cashbook reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards across multiple entities
  • Supporting the finance team with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Excel (advanced), Xero and MYOB
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian GST, BAS and payroll compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and colleagues
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
