Based in the Inner West suburb of Marrickville, Landlay Consulting Group is an engineering consultancy firms with an immediate accountant / bookkeeper role now available.

This is a permanent part time position of approximately 25-30 hours per week with flexibility in work hours over either 3 or 4 days within Marrickville offices.

You will have responsibility for:

  • Payroll with running monthly staff expenses through reports from our industry program (Total Synergy);
  • General bookkeeping;
  • Complete reconciliation of xero and industry specific program;
  • Accounts payable and receivable;
  • Superannuation reconciliation and lodgement;
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements for Directors;
  • Preparing financial data and provide insights to support business planning;
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies;
  • Experience in day to day management of our industry program that link with accounting programs, management of financial reporting etc.;
  • Carrying out additional adhoc financial duties as required;
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial policies, processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, with 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Confident managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks independently;
  • Proficient in the use of financial software (Xero Certification desired);
  • Perficient in the use of industry programs through necessary training;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A organised and adaptable approach to your work;
  • Great communication skills to liaise with suppliers, creditors and staff;
  • Flexible part-time hours;
  • Additional hours will be required during busy periods;
  • Days and times are negotiable to suit both parties;
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail.
