Your new role:
As the Nurse Unit Manager for Ward 6C (MAPU), you'll lead a multidisciplinary team in providing safe, efficient, and patient-centred care. Your leadership will be central in driving innovation, fostering excellence, and ensuring seamless patient flow across the hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit to deliver best practice clinical outcomes.
- Managing financial, human, and material resources to optimise operational efficiency.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and learning-focused work environment.
- Supporting clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement frameworks.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior nursing leadership to support organisational goals.
About you:
You are a highly skilled nursing leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care through collaboration and innovation.
You will bring:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMBA and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Proven leadership in acute or medical assessment settings.
- Demonstrated ability in workforce management, rostering, and budget control.
- Strong knowledge of quality improvement, risk management, and evidence-based practice.
- Exceptional communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills.
