Nexa Accountants is an accounting/tax agent firm in Brunswick Victoria. The firm core services include taxation, business advisory, business & strategic planning and SMFS working with individual, SMEs, trusts and company structures. Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant and this opportunity will allow you to join a well-established and supportive team of experts who are committed to the highest standards of technical expertise and will enable you to gain a wide range of advisory exposure including:

  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks for clients
  • Prepare Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements, Business Activity Statements and meet other statutory obligations ensuring clients meet their taxation, ASIC and Superannuation obligations
  • Covering job tasks for other team members during their absence
  • Performing any other ad-hoc duties as needed

Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting
  • CPA, CA or equivalent (or working towards qualification)
  • Exposure to various Accounting software
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Mainly Excels & Words)
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese (desirable)
  • Proactive and can work with minimum supervision
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, yet friendly environment
