Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Sonto Full time $75,000 - $85,000 per year

About Sonto

At Sonto, we're raising the standard in the surveying industry by combining innovation, precision, and a supportive team culture. Based in South East Queensland, our mission is to deliver high-quality surveying and spatial data services — while creating a workplace that values growth, excellence, and ownership.

We believe success is a shared effort: every team member contributes to our collective achievements. If you're passionate about surveying and ready for an international opportunity, this may be the perfect fit for you.

The Opportunity

We are inviting qualified Survey Field Technicians from the Philippines to join our team in Australia under an employer-sponsored 482 Visa. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to relocate within six months and become part of a professional, values-driven company dedicated to redefining the survey experience.

You'll work across a range of design, construction, and engineering projects — performing precise field-based surveys that meet the company's quality assurance standards. You'll travel to various job sites, capture accurate data, and collaborate with our licensed surveyors and drafting team to ensure projects are delivered with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys for design, construction, and engineering projects.

• Upload and manage project data and field files accurately.

• Perform resections, traversing, backsights, and other survey control processes.

• Set out points, offsets, lines, and markers with precision.

• Gather and process contour, detail, and as-constructed survey data.

• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and company standards.

• Communicate effectively with the Sonto team and clients as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering (required).

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in field-based surveying.

• Competency in English communication (verbal and written).

Note: An English language test (IELTS, PTE, or equivalent) may be taken during the visa application but is not required during the job application stage.

• Valid driver's license (preferred).

• Professional license (PRC) is an advantage but not required.

• Must provide character references, including:

o Two (2) professional references (e.g., supervisor, employer, or colleague in a related field).

o Two (2) community or personal references (e.g., local leader, mentor, or organization representative who can attest to character and integrity).

What We Offer

• Employer sponsorship under the 482 Visa for qualified candidates.

• Relocation assistance, including visa application support, airfare, and temporary accommodation.

• Competitive salary package (AUD 75,000–85,000 + super) based on relevant experience.

• Training and mentoring to support your career progression toward senior or registered surveyor roles.

• Supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work culture.
