Job DescriptionSignature Onfarm, as part of the Angus group is a fast growing, family owned company with a focus on high quality, high value and efficient beef production. Founded in 1960, the company has grazing properties in Central and Northern Qld and a branded beef arm marketing beef domestically and in thirty countries spanned across the globe. Signature Onfarm now rounds out the group with a state of the art, greenfield on-farm abattoir.
We have a number of new positions, located on "Sondella" a cattle station, 60 km North of Moranbah in Central Queensland. Our team are enthusiastic, practical and hard-working people who strive for a singular goal, producing the best beef that we can. Enjoying a flat structure, we are a company who values "on the tools" skills, innovation and thinking as much or more than we value sitting behind a desk.
We value efficiency, pride, communication and teamwork. We aim to develop a competitive team of multi-skilled operators who focus as a team on getting the job done and done well. We currently have vacancies for a number of roles within the organisation including:
- 50 meat process workers. - Our meat process workers work across multiple tasks in slaughter, boning and slicing, by products, packing, loadout, cleaning and value adding. On the job training is able to be provided in all tasks.
The positions are all full time (a minimum of 38 hrs per week) and available for immediate start. The business runs a single shift operation, 5 days a week. Employment will be based under the conditions of the Meat Industry Award 2020.
Weekly rates are dependent on skills and experience as per the classifications of the award. In addition to and as a bonus to the award rates, subsidised food and accommodation is available on site. Food and accommodation is provided as part of a negotiated employment package with some offset of remuneration including amounts for overtime and other allowances.
