The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) Health Promotion Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager (School Years) to lead the delivery of Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) initiatives across our region.

This exciting leadership role will oversee a team dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of school-aged children and families, particularly those experiencing health inequity. You'll manage the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based preventive health promotion programs in collaboration with schools, community organisations, and local stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

As the Program Manager (School Years), you will:

  • Lead and manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of School Years HEAL initiatives
  • Support a team of Health Promotion Officers and program leaders
  • Build and sustain partnerships with schools, councils, community organisations, and health professionals
  • Ensure programs align with NSW Health and ISLHD strategic goals and reporting requirements
  • Drive local innovation and sustainability in preventive health programs engaging priority populations and addressing health inequities.

A little about us.

From Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms.
