The role:
As an Inventory Controller at OTR, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management across our convenience store network. Drawing on your experience, you will oversee end-to-end supply chain activities, analyse inventory data, place accurate orders, and manage replenishment processes. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and drive data-informed decision-making across the supply chain.
You will Provide:
- End-to-end management of inventory across the retail network, ensuring accuracy, availability, and demand alignment.
- Investigation of stock discrepancies and maintenance of data integrity across all systems.
- Collaboration with Customer Offer, store operations, and warehouse teams to deliver effective replenishment plans.
- Use of inventory management systems, including the transition to Blue Yonder, to track stock movement and inform purchasing.
- Analysis of sales, stock, and operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Reporting on inventory performance with insights to minimise variance, overstocking, and shrinkage.
- Coordination with suppliers to achieve on-time, in-full deliveries and proactively resolve issues.
- Partnership with finance to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
- Training and support for store teams on inventory procedures and system use.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to inventory challenges, working both independently and collaboratively

About you:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or in a similar role, ideally within retail or convenience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and drive improvements.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience supporting system transitions or upgrades, ideally with platforms such as Blue Yonder.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy in all aspects of inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across stakeholders.
- A proactive problem solver who works effectively both independently and collaboratively.
