The Opportunity

As the Assistant Finance Officer at the City of Perth, you will support the effective management of the City's financial operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your attention to detail and financial acumen within a professional, collaborative team committed to excellence and service.

Reporting to the Revenue Service Lead within our Finance team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

  • Process and reconcile daily receipts, manage petty cash, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support funds management, audits, and compliance with City policies.
  • Assist with accounts receivable, debt collection, and rates enquiries.
  • Deliver professional customer service aligned with the City's values.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong accounting and reconciliation skills with solid numerical ability.
  • Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management to meet deadlines.
