Dosa hut is a fast-growing and popular Indian restaurant brand, known for serving authentic South Indian dishes with a modern twist. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef or Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team at our Paddington location.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-energy kitchen, loves Indian cuisine, and is ready to step into a rewarding full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian and other Indian dishes (e.g. dosa, biryani, curries, street food)

  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meets Dosa hut standards

  • Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times

  • Manage kitchen prep, inventory, and minimize food waste

  • Collaborate with team members during busy service times

  • Assist in menu development and daily specials, if required

About You:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen (Indian cuisine preferred in Dosa, Biryani & Indo-Chinese)

  • Deep understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable, team-oriented, and ready to take initiative

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings, 40hrs/week.

  • Full Australian working rights (sponsorship is available)
