The Specialty Products & Platforms crew looks after our specialty products and experiences with an aim to create the blueprint to unlock all Australians' future home ownership dreams. As part of this, we look after a wide range of products and solutions from government schemes to loan protection products.

Do work that matters

You will report to the Chapter Lead, Speciality Products and Platforms. As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a supporting role in delivering on our Home Buying Climate Strategy. You will contribute to managing our initiatives in line with our policy, compliance, risk, pricing, and procedure requirements. You may also support the Home Buying Simplification Strategy, working with the team to ensure our product offering remains streamlined and aligned with customer needs. Most importantly you will have a customer obsession that enables us to optimise our products.

To do this, you will support the team in addressing stakeholder questions and concerns, helping to gather information and coordinate responses where needed. You will assist in evaluating ambiguous situations by contributing insights and escalating appropriately to ensure initiatives continue to progress. You'll help resolve issues by clearly understanding the context, identifying what support is required, and using effective communication and collaboration techniques to assist with resolution.

Your key responsibilities/focus areas will include:

  • Support product change initiatives to continuously improve the product offering and processes, enhancing customer outcomes and value, as well as reduce risk and
  • Managing product exception requests to deliver optimal customer and business outcomes, leveraging Subject Matter Expertise
  • Manage assigned Risk Issues/Incidents, conducting root cause analysis and ensuring that these are flagged for solution scoping within the relevant squads;
  • Leverage insights and data to deliver recommendations for product, policy and process enhancements;
  • Staying abreast of external market trends improve productivity throughout the portfolio;
  • Supporting the management of operational risk and compliance outcomes, uplifting and implementing controls (and supporting processes) where required;
  • Assist the squad to manage the product backlog to deliver on the squad's vision, goals and roadmap and evolving customer expectations;
  • Monitoring and acting on competitor, regulatory, customer and industry changes
  • Apply business acumen, leadership, change management and project management experience to determine the optimal approach in project execution.

We're interested in hearing from people with and seeking to sharpen their:

  • Financial services experience in a high performing environment within Retail Banking, Product, Credit Risk, Finance, Operations
  • Home Buying Product experience in financial industry will be highly regarded
  • Analytical and data analysis skills will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with others
  • Delivery and execution experience with ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Commercial acumen and professional judgement with the ability to make recommendations and draw out insights
