About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics and Science teacher to join a high-performing school in North Brisbane. This full-time permanent position offers the opportunity to teach a diverse range of subjects across Years 10 to 12, including:

  • Year 10 Mathematics
  • Year 11 & 12 General Mathematics
  • Year 11 & 12 Essential Mathematics
  • Year 10 Science

The school is renowned for its unique approach, integrating Queensland's Certificate of Education (QCE) curriculum with trade training and apprenticeship services. The campus provides students with a comprehensive education that prepares them for both academic success and vocational pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics and Science lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Support students of varying abilities in a classroom that encourages growth and curiosity.
  • Utilise innovative strategies to build students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and school-wide initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to the school community through events and relationship building.

What We're Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognized teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
  • Experience teaching Mathematics and Science (junior or senior levels) in line with the Australian Curriculum.
  • A commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for professional growth.
