Teacher – Chemistry and Science
to join our Science Department, teaching Years 11 and 12 Chemistry and Years 5 to 10 Science.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for an educator dedicated to impactful teaching and learning, who thrives in a collaborative leadership and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that All Hallows' School's Mercy values and ethos permeate all aspects of pedagogy, curriculum and academic care.
- Demonstrates contemporary understanding of learning and the social/emotional needs of students with a particular passion for girls' education.
- Provides academic and pastoral care for all students by Implementing the School's Student Wellbeing Framework and Positive Behaviours Strategy including the application of a Restorative Practices approach to all interactions.
- Provides teaching and learning experiences for students that are based on a sound understanding of pedagogy and content knowledge that meet the aims, objectives and outcomes of the Australian Curriculum and the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority syllabuses.
- Works collaboratively to plan and organise content into coherent, well-sequenced teaching and learning programs and to develop and use appropriate evaluation and assessment strategies and procedures.
Role Requirements
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority syllabuses and processes and Australian Curriculum frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education in the Mercy tradition.
