About us

The Industry School, formerly the AITC,  is unlike any other senior school. We're for young people who seek a deliberately different educational experience. An industry-driven one. For those who want to learn in the classroom, within workplaces, and on the job. We're for those young people who seek to start building real-world strengths and skills now, not only in the future.

We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals while meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences that are relevant to the real world of industry.

About the role

We are now seeking a Teacher to join ourRedlands School and be part of our passionate and dynamic team to meet the needs of our young people and Industry Partners.

This full time permanent role will focus on teaching Essential Maths and QCAA Short Course Numeracy, building strong connections, inspiring confidence and empowering our young people to reach their full potential.

If you are someone who:

  • Puts students at the centre of everything you do
  • Knows how to make learning engaging and meaningful
  • Brings real-world experience into the classroom
  • Can create a supportive and motivating space for young people

Then this role is for you

Come be part of a school that's evolving, elevating, and making a difference - not just in education, but in the lives of our students and Industry Partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering curriculum programs to achieve expected outcomes for young people, ensuring all assessment and compliance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Perform in accordance with the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Contributing in a collaborative way to the planning, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Enhancing the well-being and holistic growth of young people through the development of supportive learning environments, quality communication, and effective classroom management
  • Creating positive and proactive relationships with young people, parents, and staff that leads to a supportive and positive College community

Values and Benefits

Our values play a critical role in cultivating culture. They set the standards for how we behave, interact with others, make decisions, and choose to act. They are:

  • Think progressively
  • Take courageous action
  • Achieve inspiring outcomes
  • Demonstrate genuine care
  • Contribute authentically
  • Succeed collectively

We value and recognise our people through a range of benefits including superannuation matching after a qualifying period, access to corporate rate health insurance, salary packaging, staff discounts through PerkBox, Employee Assistance Programs, Professional Development, and the opportunity to participate in community-based activities in Australia and Cambodia to name a few.

About You

A skilled educator or early career teacher you enjoy developing and mentoring young people to succeed in an industry-driven environment.

Essential skills and experience
