Are you an experienced Payroll Systems expert looking to lead systems transformation in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment? We're seeking a Payroll Systems Manager to join our national logistics client and take ownership of payroll system performance, optimisation, and compliance across a complex, high-volume workforce.

About the Role

  • Leading the maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of payroll systems and related integrations
  • Supporting BAU payroll operations by ensuring systems run smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, IT) and external vendors to drive process improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian employment legislation and Awards
  • Managing system upgrades, patches, testing and documentation
  • Providing data insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience managing payroll systems (e.g. Chris21, Preceda, SAP, Workday, ADP, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and retail Award interpretation
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including system configuration and process mapping
  • Ability to lead or contribute to system implementations, migrations or upgrades
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a large, multi-site or shift-based environment is highly desirable
