The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a passionate and reliable Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is vital in bringing joy, engagement, and meaning to the daily lives of our aged care residents. You will be responsible for planning and implementing lifestyle programs tailored to the individual cognitive, physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver engaging group and individual lifestyle activities that align with residents' interests, abilities, and cultural preferences.
  • Support residents' emotional and physical well-being through meaningful, person-centred programs.
  • Collaborate with the broader care team to assess residents' psychological, social, and emotional needs and identify any barriers to participation.
  • Encourage resident choice, autonomy, and participation in daily activities.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the lifestyle programs to meet the evolving needs of residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident participation and outcomes.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, and representatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (required)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a residential aged care setting
  • Strong knowledge of aged care standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group lifestyle activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Competency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook

Desirable:


• Proficiency in spoken Arabic is highly regarded to support effective communication with residents, families, and visitors.
