We are seeking a highly skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer professional to join our Greenway team and lead technology support initiatives across our facilities.
Role Overview
This ICT role involves managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT systems critical to resident care and staff operations. You will provide advanced support for EMR platforms, assistive devices, emergency alert systems, and web-based care platforms, ensuring seamless integration and reliability across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end functional testing of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms and ensure compatibility with assistive technologies.
- Design, execute, and oversee test plans for software updates to resident care and medication management systems.
- Validate system integration between nurse call systems, mobile applications, and scheduling platforms.
- Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with care teams and stakeholders to ensure usability, compliance, and operational readiness.
- Provide Level 2 and escalated troubleshooting for devices affecting resident safety (fall detection monitors, telehealth systems, mobility aids).
- Implement monitoring frameworks for system uptime, health metrics, and service continuity across distributed care sites.
- Develop and maintain procedures for deploying new assistive and communication technologies.
- Liaise with IT vendors and internal teams to validate emergency alert systems.
- Oversee management of user access, permissions, and security protocols for web-based care platforms.
- Maintain and optimize intranet, staff portals, and web applications for secure and efficient access to care policies and resources.
- Lead deployment of internal IT resources, training materials, and digital literacy guides for staff.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience (2+ years) in IT desktop support, systems administration, or ICT quality assurance, preferably in healthcare or Dementia Care environments.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting, system integration, and Level 2/3 technical support.
- Hands-on experience with EMR platforms, web applications, and networked device management.
- Advanced understanding of IT security protocols, access management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to lead testing, validation, and deployment of technology solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with care staff and vendors.
