Our education sector client is a large and inclusive secondary school with
more than 1000 students and over 100 staff
. They are seeking an experienced
Property & Facilities Manager
to ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable management of their School Grounds, Buildings, and Facilities.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting role for a hands-on, proactive professional who thrives on variety and takes pride in delivering high-quality environments. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will oversee the maintenance, compliance, and smooth running of all facilities, ensuring the school remains a safe and inspiring place for learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, presentation, and safety of all school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
  • Manage contractor relationships for cleaning, trades, and capital works projects.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S, building codes, and child safety standards.
  • Lead and support facilities staff, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and budgets.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives in energy, waste, and water usage.
  • Coordinate facilities for school events and community use.

About You

  • Proven experience in Facilities, Property, or Asset Management (School or similar environment desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of OH&S, compliance, and contractor management.
  • Ability to manage budgets and prioritise competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Working With Children Check (mandatory) but can be obtained
