Sous Chefs & Production Chefs – Airline Catering

Pay Rate: Base Rate + Penalty Rates ( $73.80 p/h for Sous Chef on Early Mornings, Sunday, Public Holiday and Double Time or $70.30 p/h on Early Mornings, Sunday, Public Holiday and Double Time)Location: Perth, WA

Employment Type: Full-Time, Rotating Roster (7-Day Availability Required)

Chandler Macleod is seeking highly skilled and motivated Sous Chefs and Production Chefs to join our client, a leading name in airline catering production. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-volume culinary environment where precision, quality, and teamwork are essential to delivering world-class inflight meals.

Requirements – Sous Chef

  • Full Australian work rights
  • Culinary experience, including 2–3 years in a Sous Chef or supervisory role
  • Previous experience in airline catering, institutional cooking, or high-volume food production is highly desirable
  • Relevant culinary degree or professional qualifications
  • Strong understanding of international cuisines and special dietary needs (e.g., vegetarian, halal, gluten-free)
  • Proven leadership and organizational abilities, with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Must be able to work a rotating roster, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, in line with flight schedules

Requirements – Production Chef

  • Full Australian work rights
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery /Trade Qualified
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Must be able to work a rotating roster, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, in line with flight schedules
