An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Manager to join to start immediately for approximately 3-4 month period with a possible extension.  This role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to service delivery while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the
Business Manager
plays a key role in supporting the effective financial, business, and workforce operations.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on financial, budget, and resource management.
  • Supporting Business Unit Managers with financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Coordinating budget development, financial submissions, and business cases.
  • Leading and mentoring a small business support team.
  • Promoting efficient use of resources and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contributing to workforce and human resource planning activities.

About You
You're a strategic and analytical thinker who can balance operational priorities with long-term planning. You enjoy working collaboratively with leaders and teams, and you bring a proactive approach to problem solving and service improvement.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in financial management, analysis, and reporting within complex organisations.
  • Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.
  • Experience supervising staff and fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Excel.

Membership of a professional accounting body (CPA/CA or equivalent) will be highly regarded.

Additional Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC).
