About the role

Garlos Pies' is seeking an experienced Pastry Team Leader to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Kingsgrove, NSW. As a Pastry Team Leader, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our pastry production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to the growth and success of our renowned pie brand.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of pastry production workers, delegating tasks and providing guidance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met
  • Monitor and optimise production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure all pastry products are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the production process
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and the production manager to share best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to help develop the skills of your team members

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pastry production or team leader role in the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of pastry production techniques, recipes, and quality control standards
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using production equipment and data tracking systems
  • A passion for delivering high-quality products and a keen eye for detail
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
