We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team at Ooohh Yeah Dog Care. This role is perfect for someone who truly understands dogs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage both big and small personalities in our pack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with dogs in group play, ensuring a safe and fun environment
  • Read and respond appropriately to dog body language and behaviour
  • Manage introductions and playgroups based on temperament, size, and energy levels
  • Provide structure through enrichment, play, downtime, and positive reinforcement
  • Assist with feeding, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment
  • Capture and share content for our social media — including photos, videos, and daily updates on Instagram
  • Communicate with the team about dog behaviour, health, and wellbeing

Requirements

  • 1–2 years minimum experience in a dog daycare, kennel, or similar animal-care role
  • Strong knowledge of dog body language and group play dynamics
  • Confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Physically fit — able to stand for long periods and handle large, strong dogs
  • Excellent communication skills with both team members and dog owners
  • Experience and knowledge of using Instagram to create engaging stories, posts, or updates
  • Must hold a valid driver's license (owning a car is not required)
  • You will be required to complete a PACPro course in your own time. The course fee is paid by you and must be completed outside of work hours.

Hours & Availability

  • Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 12.30pm
  • Every second Saturday: 10.00am – 5.00pm
  • Some days may require you to stay overtime depending on business needs

Employment Details

  • This is a permanent part-time or casual position
  • You'll start at a base rate until the PACPro course is completed, after which full senior rates will apply
