About the Role

Due to a secondment arrangement, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Investigator to join our Compliance team. As the Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for planning and conducting complex, end-to-end investigations into breaches of legislation relating to elections, funding and disclosure, and lobbyists.  

We are looking for someone with a strong regulatory or policing background; the ability to interpret complex legislation; excellent report writing skills; direct experience with brief preparation and presenting to court; and the willingness for overnight travel as required.

The role is full-time Temporary role for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

Relevant tertiary qualification in regulatory or policingSignificant experience in an investigation's role utilising contemporary investigative techniquesWorking knowledge of rules of evidence and criminal practice and procedureHands on experience with brief preparation and presenting to court is preferredStrong report writing and computer skills  Politically neutral with no current or past affiliation to political parties or lobbyist/campaignersSatisfactory Criminal Record Check result.
