Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team at Cinnamon Club, Norwood , South Australia. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes, with a focus on authentic flavors and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and regional specialties.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spices, ingredients, and other cooking supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Cook specializing in Indian cuisine (minimum of 2 years of experience preferred).
  • Ability to prepare a variety of traditional Indian dishes with an emphasis on flavor and authenticity.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
