We are seeking for a caring and motivated Hospitality Manager/Cook for residential care services. As a Hospitality Manager/Cook at Serene, you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment to meet the nutritional needs of our residents.

Duties

  • Prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents.
  • Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual and cultural needs are met.
  • Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.
  • Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures.
  • Accept food delivery and record temperature according to food safety standard.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment,
  • Minimum 1+ years of healthcare/aged care meal preparation experience is required.
  • Aged care experience is essential.
  • Minimum 1+ years of aged care experience is required.
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent English communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a great team.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts morning, afternoon Mon-Sun
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
