The Opportunity: As the Head of Fabrication, you will be the custodian of our workshop's high standards. Your primary focus will be on leading a talented team to maintain the quality and efficiency that our brand is known for. You will ensure our unique, patented staging systems are fabricated to precise specifications, manage workflow in a fast-paced environment, and champion our culture of safety and craftsmanship.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Lead & Deliver: Oversee the planning and execution of all manufacturing projects, ensuring work is completed on time and to our exacting quality standards, even with short lead times.
  • Refine & Optimise: Maintain and develop strategies to optimise our established fabrication processes for maximum efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Mentor & Develop: Lead, guide, and mentor your team of fabricators, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of pride in workmanship.
  • Champion Safety: Act as a safety leader for the fabrication environment, conducting training, enforcing the use of PPE, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Guarantee Quality: Enforce rigorous quality control measures and inspections to ensure every fabricated component meets the exceptional standards our customers expect.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Production Manager and other internal departments to ensure a seamless production workflow and successful project delivery.

Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Profile):

  • Process-Driven & Meticulous: You have exceptional attention to detail and a logical, methodical approach to your work. You understand the importance of following established processes to guarantee quality and consistency.
  • An Experienced Leader: You have a mature and professional approach with proven experience in leading and mentoring fabrication teams and coaching peers.
  • A Technical Expert: You hold an appropriate trade certification and are proficient in welding both aluminium and steel, with a strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A Creative Problem-Solver: While process is key, you are resourceful and can think creatively to help design and execute bespoke solutions for unique client projects.
  • A Safety Champion: You have a comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety standards and an unwavering commitment to the safety of your team.
