**About Us**:
Established in 1953 Kilcoy State High School currently has 450 students, and is steadily growing. The school is recognised locally and internationally for its innovative and progressive programs. Kilcoy is a rural town of over 2000 people and is only a short drive of approximately an hour to the Sunshine Coast and to Brisbane, with many staff commuting each day.

This position will be suited to an energetic and future-focused individual who has a strong student-focused approach and ability to build strong professional relationships with students, teachers, parents and the community. The successful applicant for this position will possess strong organisational and relational capabilities to Line Manage a number of Heads of Departments and lead school-wide agendas to lift student outcomes.

**About the Role**:
Responsibilities within this role include, but are not limited to:

- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
