Daifuku Oceania is a global leader in automation. We are experiencing continued growth in Australia and has an opportunity for an Mechanical Maintenance Technician based at Perth Airport who can form an integral part of our automation maintenance team.

You're Not Just a Fitter – You're a System Thinker.

You don't just swap parts — you solve problems before they even happen. We're looking for a Maintenance System Technician who knows their way around hydraulics, can fault-find in their sleep, and understands PLCs and SCADA like a second language.

This isn't maintenance-by-numbers. You'll be working on high-performance systems that demand brainpower, initiative, and real-world experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Diagnosing and fixing faults in hydraulic, electrical, and automated systems
  • Working with PLCs and SCADA systems – monitoring, troubleshooting, tweaking
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and real-time repairs
  • Supporting production teams and keeping systems running at full tilt
  • Reading schematics, pressure diagrams, and tech docs without breaking a sweat
  • Thinking on your feet and backing your decisions with solid technical know-how

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven experience in maintenance/fault finding in an industrial or automated environment
  • Hands-on knowledge of hydraulic systems, PLC logic, and SCADA platforms
  • Mechanical and/or electrical trade qualification preferred
  • A sharp eye for safety, detail, and performance
  • A team-first attitude, and a calm head when it gets busy
  • Solid communication skills – because you'll be talking to operators, engineers, and other techs daily
