Queensland Lifestyle and Pastoral Care Coordinator

Seabrae Manor Aged Care are currently seeking a Queensland Lifestyle and Pastoral Care Coordinator.
About the Role
The Lifestyle and Pastoral Care Coordinator is responsible for the developing and enhancing the leisure and lifestyle program across the Queensland homes, to promote and enable physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, cultural and social wellbeing and independence of residents.
In addition, the Queensland Lifestyle and Pastoral Care Coordinator will also be responsible for:
- Provide oversight for the Leisure and Lifestyle programs in the Queensland homes.
- Develop a pastoral care program and provide hands-on assistance when required and in particular during planned leave and when able unplanned leave periods.
- Ensure a planned and coordinated approach to the delivery of a broad range of programs in consultation with Lifestyle Coordinators, to support residents to participate in activities that meet their individual interests and needs.
- Develop and enhance programs on a monthly basis in consultation with Lifestyle Coordinators, resident representatives, lifestyle staff, Facility Manager and Clinical Care Coordinator and delivered within the agreed budget allocation.
About you
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven competency in program development and delivering recreational activities, music and craft therapy in an aged care environment.
- An understanding of the Aged Care Standard and legislative requirements
- A commitment to providing a caring and empathetic service to our residents while respecting their privacy, choices and cultural preferences.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and ability to foster effective relationships with staff, residents and resident representatives, external service providers and regulatory bodies.
- Commitment to ensuring resident needs are always met by being available and reliable for all rostered shifts.
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
- Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
- Tertiary qualifications directly related to Diversional Therapy Health/Aged Care Industry or Certificate 1V in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent
- Australian / New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
