Due to our current work load, John R Keith NSW Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our busy professional team based in Sydney.

The role is office based and close to public transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimating and pricing of all scope of work documents & submitting and preparing project tenders in a timely and orderly manner
  • Preparation of tender letters, bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and project pricing breakdowns / returnable schedules
  • Liaising throughout the tender process with current and prospective clients
  • Working with our in house hydraulic design team on Design and Construct tenders
  • Assessing and identifying possible cost saving design options / value engineering of hydraulic systems.
  • Pricing and submitting variations
  • Work closely with other estimators and project managers.

Essential criteria required for this role

  • A proven track record of estimating commercial hydraulic and civil projects.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and tender documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Australian Standards as well as the current NCC.
  • Prior experience with Cavsoft SHARP Estimating Software is an advantage.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of packages, such as Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Either plumbing trade qualified or previous experience estimating.
