Our Defence Division operates from four key locations: Perth Airport (WA), Cheltenham (VIC), RAAF Pearce (WA), and RAAF Williamtown (NSW).

Airflite is looking for a skilled Commercial Lead to join our ALSE Integrated Logistics Support team. This key role will focus on leading commercial strategy, contract negotiation, and supplier management to support critical Defence acquisition and sustainment projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and CASG commercial standards, while driving value and risk management across contracts.

What you bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Procurement, or related fields.
  • Proven commercial experience and skills in contract negotiation, procurement lifecycle management, and supplier engagement (mandatory).
  • Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and compliance focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain appropriate Defence security clearance (NV1 or above).

Desirable:

  • Experience with Defence acquisition, including development and response of RFIs and RFTs, and managing Defence contracts.
  • Understanding of Commonwealth Defence procurement policies, export controls, and CASG standards.
  • Familiarity with Export Controls, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) with the US Department of Defence.
  • Experience in aviation or ALSE sectors is a plus.
