About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Scheduler to coordinate the daily movement of our fleet. In this role, you will be the vital link between drivers, clients, and operations, ensuring that deliveries are scheduled effectively, safely, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily freight movements for local and/or interstate operations
- Communicate clearly with drivers to allocate jobs and manage changes
- Liaise with clients to confirm delivery requirements and timeframes
- Monitor driver locations and delivery status using transport management systems
- Respond to delays, breakdowns, or issues in real-time with practical solutions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with industry regulations
- Support continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in transport scheduling or logistics coordination
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A team player who can build strong relationships with drivers and clients
- Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software
- Understanding of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) principles
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
