Ablepoint Australia is seeking a compassionate, bubbly, and professional Support Worker to join our team in Parramatta.

You will be supporting a lovely woman who responds well to cheerful, firm, and encouraging personalities. The role includes personal care, community access, and driving her wheelchair-accessible van. Shifts are generally 8 hours long, so a consistent and reliable presence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support

  • Prepare meals and perform light household duties

  • Drive a van fitted with a wheelchair lift to support client transport

  • Assist with community access, including appointments and outings

  • Encourage independence and maintain a respectful, empowering presence

  • Follow NDIS guidelines and Ablepoint protocols

  • Work 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for weekends and public holidays

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in personal care and disability support

  • Confidence working with wheelchair users and using mobility equipment

  • Experience operating a van with a wheelchair lift

  • Warm, bubbly personality with the ability to be firm, respectful, and proactive

  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills

  • Flexible availability and commitment to 8-hour shifts

Mandatory Certifications

  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • First Aid and CPR Certification

  • Manual Handling Certificate

  • Police Check

  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement
