Due to growth, we're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our head office based in Bondi Junction. You'll bring proven expertise in managing high-volume weekly payrolls, ideally within construction or environments governed by Enterprise Agreements (EBAs).
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the payroll team and support the Payroll Manager, while also having the ability to run payroll independently. We're after someone who can hit the ground running and is happy to step in wherever needed.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing and processing weekly payroll for a large, high-volume workforce
- Maintaining employee payroll records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, tax requirements and company policies
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and managers
- Supporting audits, reporting and payroll data analysis to drive improvements
- Collaborating closely with HR, Finance and the Payroll Manager for seamless payroll operations
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated senior payroll experience, ideally within construction or an EBA environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience with Dayforce highly regarded
- Proven ability to manage weekly, high-volume payrolls both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, team-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
