We are an Australian owned and operated company located in South East Melbourne with more than 40 years' experience in the design, manufacture and supply of quality plastic products to Australian and International markets.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a manufacturing background to lead production operations.

You'll oversee all manufacturing activities to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and within budget. You'll play a key role in improving performance, developing capability, and keeping operations running smoothly across a 24×5 schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities ensuring output, safety and quality standards are met.
  • Take full accountability for product, people, and resources across manufacturing lines.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements across all processes.
  • Coach supervisors and team leaders building capability and consistency.
  • Oversee labour planning, rostering, time and attendance, and training to ensure performance and continuity.
  • Act as a key operational contact, partnering with Maintenance, Quality, Planning and HR to ensure smooth daily operations and communication

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing management, ideally within plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing staffing, scheduling, and performance.
