This is an exciting opportunity for an Events and Sponsorship Coordinator to join our highly regarded Business Development team in Melbourne on a full time permanent basis. Please note that we may also consider exceptional candidates from Sydney.

The Role

FB Rice is searching for an experienced Events and Sponsorship Coordinator to provide an exceptional client experience, internally and externally, via events and sponsorships that deliver on the team purpose.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing all event management tasks to a best practice standard from conception to completion including but not limited to planning, implementation and debrief, as well as event invitation and registration processes.
  • Supporting the Business Development team through the implementation and maintenance of agreed Sponsorships with a focus on maximising ROI.
  • Liaising with external suppliers to assist on the delivery of events and sponsorships.
  • Being a brand advocate, by utilising, and promoting our brand assets.
  • Being the voice of the client within FB Rice and overall champion of internal and external client experience.
  • Working very closely with the business development team and providing a valuable contribution to deliver on the team's purpose.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a professional environment with event management responsibilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience managing activities to budget.
  • Proactive approach that demonstrates initiative and curiosity.
  • Ability to form relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to managing competing priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member as required.

It is desirable for the applicant to have:

  • A degree in marketing or related field
  • Adobe creative suite skills
  • Experience with CRM and email marketing systems
  • Social media communications for a corporate audience
  • Experience in a professional services organisation
  • Experience in marketing communications activities
