Water Cart Operator

Applications are invited for the position of Water Cart operator within our organization, which is involved with dust suppression in a non-mining environment in the Singleton area.

  • Operating a Water Cart (road registered 10-wheeler rigid with 13000 litre water tank 6 speed automatic).
  • Water Cart is brand new.
  • Day work only.
  • Position is casual, short term.
  • Shifts are 8-12hrs/day.
  • Daily hours may vary dependent on weather and work requirements.
  • Would suit retired/semi-retired person as you may need to be available at short notice.
  • Casual loading paid.
  • Immediate start available after passing medical and work site induction.
  • We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
  • You will be responsible for the cleanliness and minor maintenance of the truck.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • A current Heavy Rigid license.
  • Demonstrated willingness and capacity to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team in the outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a pro-active approach to your work.
  • Have good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Have knowledge of and commitment to OH&S.
  • Ability to comply with current / ongoing Drug & Alcohol requirements.
  • Willingness to undergo a Medical with full functional assessment.
  • Must hold permanent residency status to be eligible for this position.

  • Recent Water Cart operation experience.
