About the Role

The Finance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the effective management of financial operations at Bellbird Park State Secondary College. This position supports the school's strategic and operational goals by providing expert financial advice and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day accounts receivable operations of the school.
  • Overseeing corporate card reconciliations, accounts payable, salary recovery, and account management.
  • Identifying and resolving financial issues while contributing to the development and improvement of financial policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Providing financial advice to the Business Manager and Principal to ensure compliance with legislation, departmental policies, and the school's strategic direction.
  • Training staff to ensure financial practices align with the school's educational activities.

This role would suit a detail-oriented professional with a passion for financial management and a commitment to supporting educational excellence.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

  • Considerable experience in Departmental administration and financial processes, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in line with policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective financial systems and processes.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with One School systems.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to support staff development.
