Why this role is exciting

At Richmind WA, every role contributes to shaping the future of mental health in Western Australia. At Fellowship House Albany, we're building more than a mental health service — we're creating a vibrant, community hub where people reconnect, contribute, and rediscover meaning in their lives.

As a Community Mental Health Recovery Practitioner, you'll work side-by-side with members, helping them explore their recovery journey through creative, therapeutic, and peer-led programs. This is hands-on, relational work where your professional skills meet a community-focused heart. You won't just support recovery—you'll be part of the story of transformation.

Your impact

  • Provide 1:1 counselling and group supports that foster meaningful psychosocial growth.
  • Co-design recovery goals with participants, promoting agency and voice.
  • Collaborate with Recovery Support Workers, volunteers, and the broader community to create safe, inclusive spaces.
  • Shape program content, therapeutic activities, and community events that strengthen connection and belonging.

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or higher in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health.
  • Experience in therapeutic, psychosocial recovery work and group facilitation.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and non-pathologising practice.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Required: National Police Clearance, WA Driver's License, First Aid, Working with Children Check, NDIS Screen Check.

This position is part-time offering 3 days per week.
