The Role
The overall purpose of the Project Manager - Property Developments & Initiatives is to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure and capital projects from concept to completion. This includes managing project scope, timeframes, budgets, quality, and risk to ensure successful outcomes that align with organisational strategy and community service objectives.
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Some duties of the role include, but are not limited to;
- Contribute to the scoping and planning of upgrades to existing property and new capital works
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of comprehensive project plans
- Ensure that project and work activities meet relevant constraints including time, budget/cost, risk management and procurement and governance policies
- Oversee the submission and processing of relevant development and building approvals
- Operate and implement coordinated work programs for sites and negotiate with all relevant parties involved in project work
- Coordinate the commissioning of projects, including the development of relevant FFE schedule in conjunction with the procurement department and the procurement and delivery of plant and equipment
- Coordinate the Project Control Group and facilitate effective stakeholder reporting Monitor the raising of purchase requisitions, review and approve progress claims and invoices within the delegated limits
- Prepare project status, performance, financial administrative and operational reports, including project expenditure against budget
- Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve project-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions
What we are looking for
- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, at various phases of the development cycle
- A demonstrated team player with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven capability to deliver consistent, high-quality and sustainable project outcomes as the Owner's Representative
- Extensive experience across all phases of the acquisition, design, approvals, tendering, construction and commissioning of building projects
- Proven success meeting key time, quality and budget performance indicators
- An in depth understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise key tasks and outcomes
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and awareness, including consultation, negotiation, influencing, conflict management and assertiveness
