Perth, Western Australia Fleetcare Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

ABOUT US

As Australia's largest independent Fleet Management solutions provider, our success lies in our passion and desire to provide innovative, and tailored fleet management and leasing solutions to a broad range of clients nationally.

Our team of industry professionals play a fundamental part in this journey and we are actively looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to join the "Fleetcare Family."

Are you looking for a change from the workshop? Whether you're newly qualified or have hands-on experience, this is your opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge in a dynamic, customer-focused role within a leading fleet management company.

We currently have an exciting opening in our Operations Department for a Maintenance Controller. This role is ideal for those who want to use their automotive expertise in a more strategic, office-based environment – helping clients manage their vehicles, plant and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively.

You'll join a supportive and experienced Maintenance Team that's committed to your development – whether you're just starting out or looking to take the next step in your career.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Taking calls from suppliers, discussing repair needs, and approving costs for maintenance work.
  • Managing and updating maintenance records in our internal systems.
  • Providing advice to clients and colleagues on running costs, repair options, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinating with repairers and manufacturers to minimise downtime and control costs.
  • Following up on outstanding supplier invoices.

In this role, you'll be central to ensuring our clients' vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard, with accurate records for reporting and analysis.

We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. You could be:

  • A recently qualified mechanic or technician looking to grow your career beyond the workshop, or
  • An experienced service advisor, technician, or workshop controller looking for a new challenge in a more customer-facing and analytical role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

To be considered you will ideally demonstrate:

  • A good understanding of vehicle repair processes and general mechanical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-first mindset and willingness to go above and beyond.
  • A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Confidence using computer systems (Word and Outlook) – experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a bonus.
  • Availability to work full-time across a flexible shift pattern between 5:00am – 4:30pm (WST), Monday to Friday.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A 12-month contract with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
  • A chance to grow your skills in the fast-paced fleet industry with guidance from a highly experienced team.
  • A role where your mechanical expertise meets customer service, administration and data analysis.

As part of the Fleetcare family, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds with all the advantages of working for a large corporate business combined with a 'family feel' of a smaller organisation.

Working with a large team of industry professionals, you'll be surrounded by creative thinkers, innovative problem solvers and customer focused individuals who strive to deliver excellence every day.

Benefits also include:

  • Full product and service training provided
  • Genuine commitment to investing in you with ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Access to a professional and personal development library of resources
  • Uniform allowance
  • Wellbeing Program
  • Novated Leasing

  • Supportive culture including Employee Assistance Program
  • Exceptional office facilities located in Wangara
  • Breakfast, coffee, healthy snacks, weekly fruit delivery and more
  • Fun team environment
  • Flexible WFH options
