Your New Role
In this 12-month contract you will be a key contributor to the execution of remediation activities that allows appropriate and sustainable remediation outcomes for members and the Fund. The methods, approaches and oversight must support the Fund's compliance with RG277 and other regulatory obligations including the Superannuation Industry Supervision Act (SIS Act), and other relevant legislation.
You will be responsible for restoring Member's back to the position they would have been in had an error not occurred. This includes contributing through both independent and collaborative thinking to the design, development & delivery of innovative solutions in line with the remediation lifecycle as detailed below.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in superannuation operations, along with advanced analytical and assurance capabilities. You will be responsible for using your BA expertise to capture, manage, and communicate remediation requirements across stakeholders on multiple large, complex initiatives simultaneously.
Key duties include but not limited to;
- Analyse incidents to form a view on scoping, methodology, member communication and payment approaches.
- Data analysis, QA and validation to ensure all impacted members are put in the position they should have been if the error had not occurred.
- Assist in defining and documenting remediation and compensation methodologies for decision to evidence our requirements under RG277 and results in remediating our Members honestly, efficiently and fairly. Independent quality assurance of complex ongoing projects, without prior knowledge or direct involvement.
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of incident records, transaction histories, and member data to ensure remediation outcomes are correct.
- Flexibility to switch between various project environments such as Waterfall, Agile and a hybrid of both dependent on the level of uncertainty. Leveraging technology to improve execution capabilities, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Execution of remediation activities including data analysis, delivery of payments and communication runs and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure all data inputs and outputs are traceable and auditable, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements such as RG277.
- Implement strong risk controls on remediation execution processes.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years' experience in superannuation operations.
- Clear understanding of industry remediation guidance, including RG 277.
- Demonstrates robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage and contribute to several projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to be flexible and adaptable.
- Skilled in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Possess basic SQL skills to query and analyse large datasets.
- Experience working on Remediation initiatives and managing these from beginning to end. This includes being responsible for completing remediation execution activities including data analysis, Payment and Communication runs and quality assurance activities.
